You may take your prescribed medications after you are discharged from the hospital. If possible, capsules may need to be opened and mixed with your liquid diet or pills can be crushed and mixed with liquids. However, some patients will be given an gastric tube or G-tube to wear for about four weeks. Though this tube you will be able to inject your medication directly into your stomach pouch therefore avoiding the nausea associated with medication that cannot be crushed or broken apart. |
